ABOUT THE ISRAEL HOUR
Sundays, 11:00 AM Eastern Time - 88.7 WRSU-FM
or 24/7 at israelhour.com

Tune into Galgalatz or Radio Tel Aviv. If you're lucky, you'll hear Israeli music...about HALF the time.

Most Israeli radio stations play WAY too much English music. But The Israel Hour spends 60 minutes each week playing nothing but your favorite Israeli tunes!

Each week, thousands of listeners from around the world tune in to listen to their favorite Israeli artists - accompanied by enthusiastic discussion and commentary in English. Add exclusive interviews, Israeli concert information, on-air contests and lots of fun...and prepare for a unique, exciting experience you won't hear anywhere else on the radio - or the Internet.

For the past 30+ years, The Israel Hour has brought "the stars of Israel to the skies of America," with the very best in Israeli music.

Heard weekly in Central New Jersey on Rutgers University's WRSU Radio (88.7 FM), The Israel Hour plays a wide variety of Israeli music, from classic favorites to contemporary hits. The show has been hosted since 1994 by New Jersey residents Mairov Dubrovsky and Josh Shron.

The Israel Hour often produces special programming devoted to Israeli religious/cultural holidays (Israeli Independence Day, Jerusalem Day, Chanukah, etc.), as well as special shows dealing with unique themes in Israeli music (past examples include shows devoted to children's music, Mizrachi (Mediterranean) music, music of the Eurovision and Pre-Eurovision Song Contests, countdown shows, etc.).

Whenever possible, The Israel Hour arranges interviews with Israel's top musical personalities. Guests have included David Broza, Achinoam Nini (Noa), Rami Kleinstein, Rita, Idan Raichel, Momy Levy, Kobi Oz (from Teapacks), Dudu Fisher, Chava Alberstein, members of Hadag Nachash and Shotei Hanevua as well as the late Ofra Haza.
